Advertisements

You can make this feature even more useful by changing it to search via Google instead.

Follow the steps below to change Bing to Google within Microsoft Word 2013:

Step 1: Click on Start and type in “regedit” to get into the registry of the machine then hit enter to open it up.

Step 2: As always, you will get the User Account Control, so click on “Yes

Step 3: The Registry Editor will open

Step 4: Navigate to the following – HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Office | 15.0 | Common | General

Step 5: Create a new string with the “Value Name: SearchProviderName” and the “Value data: Google

Step 6: Create another string with the “Value Name: SearchProviderURI” and “Value data: http://www.google.com/search?q=

Step 7: Restart your Microsoft Word application and that’s it. You are now able to search with Google.
