Chipolo. Tag it. Find it. Hands On.

It's been about 4 months that I written about Chipolo the innovative Bluetooth item tracker that helps people to live a better life without always looking for their lost things. I finally received my own tracker and was amazed on how well it works. Chipolo is able to connect with your iOS, Android and Windows smartphone device making it an essential item to have when you are always misplacing your valuables.

With Chipolo you’re able to locate your missing items with sound within a 200ft/60m radius. The app has map integration pinpointing the last known location and you’re able to use other Chipolo devices to enhance your search – like a daisy chain effect.

You are able to locate your missing item(s) by sending out a ringing sound from your phone. Or ring your misplaced phone by shaking Chipolo, even if it is on silent mode. With the app being free Chipolo makes it simple to connect your tracker to your phone.

Overall, Chipolo is one of simplest item trackers in the market. I enjoy the fact that it has a removable battery allowing me to continue to use it when the battery has die – just replace the battery and your back up and tracking! The only drawback I have is that the sound can be a little higher when locating the missing items, but I guess we will see a Chipolo version 2.0 in the future.
