The Enterprise Client Management team is happy to announce the availability of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2013 Update 1 Preview!
What’s new with MDT 2013 Update 1 Preview:
- Support for the Windows 10 Technical Preview (LTI only) and the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows 10 Technical Preview
- Split WIM support for UEFI media scenarios
- Completely revised Windows version logic including changes from string to integer comparison (“10” !> “6” but 10 > 6) and a new ZTIUtility function, GetMajorMinorVersion
- Minor revisions to Deployment Workbench console interface

yes sure i will do it again and keep you posted…since i am new using MDT and i am sure perhaps i have made some stupid mistake..let me explain you my small test environment I have:
i5 system and Server 2012 R2 installed on it
because it is for test purpose so therefore it is also my DC and i have installed following tools on same machine MDT 2013 updated 1 and ADK for windows 10 and also installed the server feature WDS.
for troubleshoot i have downloaded CMTrace
However my main objective is to create reference image and then follow the deployment steps.
but what i want to achieve first to make sure end to end process works for example:
adding my full source windows 10 then add 1 application along with drivers and then deploy to the machine to make sure deployment process goes well.
if everything goes well then all i have to create golden image and add into my deploymentshare.
Please let me know if you think my planning as per the environment i have is wrong.

Try recreating another deployment share within your MDT server move your stuff over and test your test deployment. Try to narrow it down to see what the problem is. Keep me posted.

I am following your video to deploy windows 10. during image deployment i am getting not an error but process stuck window pops up contain nothing other than message says “\\mdtserver\deploymentshare$Scripts\Wizard.hta”
process is stuck here please help on it.
secondly, i tried everything to open command prompt like F8 or Shift+F10 to check log files since it is surface tablet but unable to open CMD. any idea how does it open in surface tablets??

thanks for these informative video, it is helping me alot to setting up my MDT server as i am new using MDT.
Just a quick question, when importing application will we do same step for .exe extension application as you did in your video for .msi applications.

no, some exe application will need different parameter to run silently. But it’s the same concept in importing and configure it within MDT
