Windows 10 Action Center is the central hub for all notifications from the applications you have installed from the Microsoft store. The notifications are displayed as a single pop-up with an ignoring sound that catches you off guard. Don’t get me wrong, the Action Center is a handy feature within Windows 10 for seeing all recent notifications you have missed. But sometimes, you don’t want to get those notifications and want to disable them. Here are 3 ways in disabling the notification center within Windows 10.
Top 1: Disabling Action Center within Settings
Step 1: Start > Settings
Step 2: Click on “System”
Step 3: Click on “Notification & Actions” > “Turns system icons on or off”
Step 4: Turn off Action Center
Top 2: Disabling Action Center with Local Group Policy
Step 1: Do a Windows Key + R command and type in “gpedit.msc”
Step 2: Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > “Remove Notifications and Action Center”
Step 3: Enabled the policy.
Top 3: Disabling Action Center within the Registry
Step 1: Do a Windows Key + R command and type in “regedit”
Step 2: Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Windows
Step 3: Create a Key within Windows and called it “Explorer”
Step 4: Within the Explorer key create a DWORD (32-bit) Value and called it “DisableNotificationCenter” and the value should be 1
