New 2025 Lenovo ThinkPads Bring AI and Performance

ThinkPad P16 Gen 4

Lenovo is ushering in a new era of business computing with the launch of its refreshed ThinkPad P and L Series, along with updated ThinkPad X1 Aura Editions. Built with AI at the forefront, these devices are designed to meet the needs of today’s mobile professionals, engineers, creators, and IT decision-makers navigating hybrid and high-performance work environments.

AI-Powered Performance in a Portable Package

Leading the update are Lenovo’s lightest and thinnest mobile workstations yet — the ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD and ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 AMD. These systems are powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen™ AI PRO 300 Series processors, supporting up to Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370, 12 cores, and speeds up to 5.1GHz. What really sets them apart is the onboard AI engine, capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of neural processing power — enabling real-time AI-accelerated workflows, from document summarization to video enhancements and multitasking.

The P14s and P16s also feature up to 96GB of unified memory, allowing up to 75% of system memory to be dynamically allocated to the GPU. Paired with integrated AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics, these mobile workstations can handle CAD, BIM, and complex simulation tasks without sacrificing battery life or portability. And with ISV-certified drivers, users can rely on performance stability across professional software tools.

These laptops are officially Copilot+ PCs, meaning they’re equipped to harness the full range of Windows 11 AI capabilities — including smarter task automation, content creation tools, and collaborative enhancements.

Redesigned L Series: Smarter Business Tools

The new ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 and L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 feature a modernized design with slimmer bezels and a high screen-to-body ratio (up to 84.7%). The 2-in-1 variant includes an onboard garaged pen and an additional world-facing camera — ideal for taking notes, sketching, or capturing content on the go.

Across the L14 Gen 6 and L16 Gen 2, Lenovo has added support for both Intel Core Ultra 200U/H series processors with vPro and the AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series, giving businesses a wide range of deployment options. These machines are scalable, supporting up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB SSD storage, with brighter 400-nit displays, enhanced connectivity (including Thunderboltâ„¢ 4 and HDMI 2.1), and optional Smart Card readers.

Sustainability also gets a boost, with many L Series models incorporating recycled aluminum and plastic-free packaging, aligning with Lenovo’s environmental goals.

ThinkPad X1 Aura Editions: Premium, Elevated

Lenovo’s flagship ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition are now available with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. The Aura Editions enhance Lenovo’s premium business line with an emphasis on sleek design, top-tier materials, Dolby Atmos® audio, and intelligent collaboration features powered by Lenovo View.

These X1 models also feature ultra-lightweight chassis and high-performance specs, making them ideal for executives and mobile professionals who want both style and substance.

Smarter Security, Better Management

Across the board, the new ThinkPads include Lenovo’s ThinkShield suite of security tools, offering BIOS-level protections, secure wipe, and integrated privacy features. They also ship with built-in tools like Lenovo Commercial Vantage for device customization and Lenovo View for AI-driven video call enhancements like auto-framing and eye contact correction.

Additionally, more components are now customer-replaceable (CRU), including batteries, fans, and keyboards — helping extend device lifespan and simplify maintenance.
