How to Upload ISO Files into Proxmox

When setting up virtual machines, one of the first things you need to do is upload ISO files into Proxmox. This allows you to install operating systems or appliances inside your virtual machines. In this article, I’ll walk you through the steps from my latest video. I show exactly how to upload ISO files into your Proxmox setup.

Once Proxmox is installed and you’re logged into the web interface, you’ll be ready to expand your datacenter. You can start uploading ISO images.

Inside the Proxmox dashboard, expand your datacenter and head into the local storage option. From there:

  • Select ISO Images.
  • You’ll see two choices:
    • Upload – for uploading ISO files directly from your computer.
    • Download from URL – for pulling ISO files directly from the web.
