Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 with Microsoft Intune (Quick Guide)

Upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 in Intune is a simple policy-driven change. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center. Open Endpoint Manager to reach the Intune Admin Center. Then go to Devices → Windows → Windows updates and open the Feature updates tab.

Create a new profile and name it clearly. The Feature update to deploy will default to Windows 11, version 24H2. For a gentle rollout, make it available to users as an optional update. If your fleet includes older hardware, enable the option to install the latest Windows 10 feature update. Use this option when a device isn’t eligible for Windows 11. Set availability as soon as possible or pick a specific date.

Assign the profile to your target group (for example, Autopilot Devices), review, and create. You’ll see a confirmation, and the profile will appear in your list shortly afterward. Users in scope will see the update offer based on your availability setting.

That’s the high-level setup. For the complete, step-by-step walkthrough watch the video below.
