Review: Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager
So I decided to review Hyper-v & System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). SCVMM 2008 R2, helps enable centralized management of physical and virtual IT infrastructure, increased server utilization, and dynamic resource optimization across multiple virtualization platforms. It includes end-to-end capabilities such as planning, deploying, managing, and optimizing the virtual infrastructure. Hyper-V is the hypervisor-based server virtualization product that allows you to consolidate workloads onto a single physical server. It is a stand-alone product that provides a reliable and optimized virtualization solution enabling organizations to improve server utilization and reduce costs [which reducing costs is always a GREAT thing :)].
Rather then writing all the steps out, I created a video how to install and configure SCVMM & Hyper-V.
