We are finally done upgrading our ADK (Assessment and Development Toolkit) to version 8.1, so it could support Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. Also we were successful in upgrading our current MDT 2012 to MDT 2013. Now it's time to importing an operating system (Windows 8.1) and create a task sequence within the deployment share.
Step 1 - Right-click on the Operating System node and pick "Import Operating System"
Step 2 - Pick your OS Type - I picked "Full set of source files"
Step 3 - Locate the location where your Windows 8.1 files are located - I have the CD in the CD Drive
Step 4 - Name your directory
Step 5 - At the Summary page. Click Next
Step 6 – Once completed you will get a confirmation dialog box
Step 7 – Time to create a Task Sequence for your Windows 8.1 operating system
Step 8 – Right-click on the Task Sequence node and Create a new Task Sequence – the wizard will pop up and enter all the information needed
