SCCM OLE DB Provider Error Connection

The weirdest thing happen today. I haven’t ran a report within System Center Configuration Manager for a while and today I needed to run a report to get some information on a particular computer. When I launched my browser to get into the “smsreporting” site. This popped up:

First thing to do, was to log into your SCCM server and make sure you database is running. This is the only time I have seen this error and it’s because the SQL Db and the SQL agent aren’t running. I launched ‘services.msc’ and searched for SQL Db and SQL agent and both services weren’t running. Now this worried me a bit, so I restarted the services and they both started successfully with no issues. Time to look into it deeper to see why these services stopped.
