Microsoft has released a preview of its updated Office suite for Mac OS 10.10 users. Remember this is only in the beta stages, but the official version is due out around the middle of the year. I can't believe it's been almost five years after that Microsoft released Office 2011 for Mac. I'm super excited that Microsoft made a first public preview of its successor, which is Office 2016 for Mac and the best part is that it is available to everybody for download.
Here are the screenshot of the installation and above is a quick hands on review on Office 2016 for mac. What are your thoughts on the new Office for Mac?
Step 1: Make sure you download the 3GB *.pkg file at the Microsoft site. Double-click on the *pkg file and you will get a dialog box welcoming you. Click on Continue to start the installation:
Step 2: Read the Software License Agreement and then click on Continue:
Step 3: Microsoft Office 2016 will prompt you again to agree:
Step 4: Remember this installation is a big one. It’s actually 5.62GBs, so make sure you have enough space on your hard drives. When ready click on Install:
Step 5: Enter your username and password. It’s a security thing with Mac. 🙂
Step 6: The installation process will start. It will take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Depends on your machine too.
Step 7: And you done. Congrats!!! You have Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac. Enjoy and report and bugs at the comment section.
