CodeQuest hits 170K downloads – “Coding for Kids”

Codarica-CodeQuest Codarica creates Seriously Fun Coding Games for Kids and their debut app, CodeQuest, achieved a remarkable 170,000 downloads in iTunes in 48 short hours. It’s really hard to reach these kind of numbers when you sell apps in the Apple app store. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFLAedvy-a4

Lovisa Levin, Rosalyn Knapp, and Sanna Nilsson are the remarkable founders of Codarica – a Swedish/American start-up that aims to teach kids about technology and programming through games and storytelling. It introduces kids aged six and older to the basics of HTML and CSS website building through an adventure story.

Codarica believes all kids should have the chance to learn how to code and are therefore they’re offering the CodeQuest app for free between April 15 to 22th, 2015 in iTunes.

I am also excited to announce that right now Codarica is working on their second app, so stay tune for a hands on review on the second version.
