EZVIZ Knocks Off the Market Leader with FIVE+ Action Camera at CES 2016
EZVIZ, the digital video company that helped reset the price performance threshold for connected home cameras, is doing the same with action cams. Debuting this week at CES, the new EZVIZ FIVE+ action cam uses the finest Ambarella A9 chipset like the market leading brand for action cameras, and is built rugged, ergonomic and durable. Starting at just $399.99, it stands a chance to knock the market leader off the top.
EZVIZ is among a very limited number of manufactures with access to high performing chipsets of the Ambarella A9 processor family. Aside from incredible video processing capabilities, both camera brands feature a Sony IMX image sensor and f.2.8/158-degree lens, offer 4K video at 30 FPS but that is where the comparisons end.
The EZVIZ FIVE+ has a built in 2″ IPS touchscreen; a 1200mAh battery that delivers 90 minutes (vs. 65 minutes) of continuous recording at 4K/30fps; a built in electronic image stabilizer and G-sensor; a dual mic noise cancellation and lens distortion corrector. Users can store video locally on a microSD memory card up to 128GB – unlike comparable action cameras that only allow 64GB.
